The Corner Cafe & Deli in downtown Tampa is the kind of spot that settles into your day with ease, especially if you’re starting off with breakfast or looking for a casual lunch nearby. Located on the second floor of the Wells Fargo building, it’s a quiet retreat from the busy streets below, and if you manage to snag a seat by the window, you get a low-key river view that gently reminds you where you are in the city.

This cafe is where you’ll find straightforward, no-frills breakfasts and deli-style lunches made with fresh ingredients. The menu leans into classic comfort—pancake combos and hearty wraps dominate, along with solid daily soups like chicken noodle or chicken rice. The wrap options, including varieties like the Manhattan Grill and California Turkey Wrap, feel thoughtfully built with quality deli meats, cheese, and a choice of different wraps, pressed or not. Sandwich lovers will appreciate the cheese steaks, done Philly and New York styles with sides of fries, which makes for a filling midday meal that won’t break the bank.

The atmosphere is casual and friendly, with staff who have a way of remembering regulars and making you feel at ease, even if you’re just stopping by before a cruise or after a morning run along the riverwalk. It’s the kind of place you can pop into fairly early or midday, with enough space to relax without the fast-food rush or noise that sometimes comes with downtown dining.

Locals and visitors who want a reasonably priced, well-portioned breakfast or lunch find value here—especially if you’re skipping hotel restaurants nearby or need a quick, satisfying meal during the workweek. The Corner Cafe & Deli caters well to those who appreciate a straightforward meal, fresh ingredients, and a calm urban setting where the city’s pulse is more background than focal point.

Was visiting Tampa and looking for a good and fairly priced breakfast place and came across this. It was about a 10 minute walk from the Marriott I was staying in so I decided to give it a go, especially as I wasn't willing to pay $16 for a breakfast sandwich at the hotel. The cafe is in the southwest corner of the 2nd floor of the Wells Fargo building and I definitely felt a little out of place since everyone walking in was wearing business clothes and I was in jeans and flip flops. Oh well :) I ordered a breakfast sandwich with bacon, fried onions and mushrooms on Cuban bread and it was very good and the perfect amount of food for me! The only negative thing I have to mention is that when I asked some questions about the breakfast sandwich options, the women working looked at me like I was crazy for asking and simply responded with "What do you mean? You can put on it whatever you want." and when I followed up with what are my options, again a look of confusion and then they started to list off some ingredients. It didn't list on the menu what veggies, cheese, or meat options you had and at what cost. Regardless, I highly recommend stopping by if you're looking for a tasty yet cheap breakfast option!

Great little spot for lunch (and I’m betting breakfast is pretty good too). Fresh ingredients, decent portions and reasonable prices.

Don't waste your money at your hotel on some attached restaurant in Tampa... find this place. Excellent food... it's on the 2nd floor of the Wells Fargo Bldg. We went there for breakfast the day we sailed on a cruise... and went back after we returned! And they remembered us! Very friendly and the omelets are great!

Breakfast with a view of the river, what a treat. Love this city & finding hidden gems like this. I found this place on yelp, after my riverwalk run this morning. It's on the 2nd floor of the Wells Fargo building. Excellent service, fresh ingredients, fairly priced. I had the Veggie Lovers Power Bowl. No mushrooms, sub tomatoes. It was fantastic! Worth the visit!

Wonderful place... 2nd floor of the Wells Fargo Building and a little hidden but worth finding. I had some pancakes and the view was perfect for the morning. I would absolutely recommend checking this place out...

This place is on the 2nd floor of the Wells Fargo building! Only bad thing about it is confusing to find. That said, I had the most incredible lunch bowl, built my own bowl since I'm vegetarian, and my GOD it was delicious, and reasonably priced for all the add ons I had!

Someone’s momma put in the effort to pass this skill along and I’m here to enjoy it! The avocado toast stands out as a true masterpiece, while the pancake recipe seems to be touched by divine inspiration.
